How to do screen recordings for your online course on The Beauty Spectrum: 

 

Screen recording is the process of capturing everything that is displayed on your computer or mobile device screen.  Screen recording is commonly used for creating tutorials, demonstrations, and presentations.This simplifies the process of recording your lectures while delivering your course. There are many software programs and apps available that allow you to record your screen, and most of them also allow you to record audio along with the video. 

 

  1. Select a screen recording software. We suggest Canva or Loom for this purpose.
  2. Next, use your course slides to guide you. Record your audio while presenting the slides to your students.

Using Canva:

  1. Go to “Create a New design”
  2. Click “Presentation”
  3. Make or upload your course slides
  4. Click “Present”
  5. Click “present and record”

Using Loom:

  1. If you don’t have one already, create a free account
  2. Go to “My library”
  3. Select “New video”
  4. Record your presentation 

 

*Keep in mind that lessons have their own videos, so screen recording one long presentation will not work because each video will go to a different lesson.
