How to add the link to your demonstration into your online course on The Beauty Spectrum

Due to the large size of the videos being uploaded, we can only allow inserted links from third party hosting websites. What does this mean?  No need to stress! Everything in your course stays the exact same but instead of uploading the video files to your course, you will be uploading the links to your videos. 

 

How can I do this?

When sharing your videos, whichever platform you use to host them, copy the video’s link. Ensure that the video is set to be private and accessible only to those with the link. If there is an embedded option, that would be even better. Embed the video only on www.thebeautyspectrum.com

 

 

If you are in need of a platform for video hosting a great option is Vimeo. (This is the platform we actually recommend)

 

Once you have acquired the link follow the steps below to upload it into your course.

 

1. Go to the lesson you want to add a video to and select the edit button.

 

2. Scroll down and click “Video source”.

 

 

3. Select which source your video is in and then insert the link. After the link is inserted click “update lesson”.

 

 

How to embed your video:

1. Copy the embedded code for your video.
2. In your lesson plan, go to “video source” and look for “embedded”.
3. Upload your embed code.
